  • In-Home/Destination Euthanasia

We offer 90-minute appointments for in-home and 2 hour appointments for destination euthanasia. Please be aware for when considering destination, a location that provides appropriate privacy and closeness to our vehicle is necessary. We have performed end of life services at the beach, in a park, at the entrance to a favorite hiking trail, at a barn, in a garden, at the grave site of a fallen soldier, and at a church. Whatever setting provides the most peaceful transition for your pet, we will do our best to accommodate.

  • Quality of Life Exam

We offer 60-minute in-home quality of life exams. The hardest decision to make with end of life care is the appropriate time frame. During the QOL exam we are able to evaluate your pet’s health and answer your questions which often include: Is my pet suffering? Is my pet painful? When should we consider putting the pet to sleep? When scheduling a QOL exam, we will request your pet’s medical history be e-mailed to: overtherainbowbridgect@gmail.com, a minimum of 12 hours prior to the appointment. Medical history, although helpful, is not required for a QOL exam. We will perform an exam including a pain score, and the discuss what treatment options would best serve your pet.

  • Hospice Appointments

We offer 60-minute in-home hospice appointments. In-home hospice appointments best serve patients who are painful and/or suffering from a terminal illness. During the appointment we are able to evaluate your pet’s health, pain score and overall well-being. We are able to perform a variety of treatments and interventions to promote your pet’s overall comfort. Often this includes administering fluid therapy, anti-nausea medications, administering pain medications and occasionally adjusting prescribed medication doses. We are also able to provide services such as wound management, enemas, and feeding tube cleaning and maintenance.
